What is the TTX Program?
- TTX is also known as the Skilled Trades and Technology Career
Exploration Program. That's a pretty long name...so we prefer
to call it simply... TTX
- TTX is a free 2-week workshop offered through the Niagara Region
- TTX is designed for men and women 18+ looking at career options
in the Skilled Trades and Technology fields
Why should you spend
2 weeks in the TTX program?
- Learn about high demand, good paying jobs with opportunities
for growth
- Try out various skill and trade areas through fun, hand-on activities
- Get a chance to see if a career in the field of skilled trades
and technology is for you
- Meet experienced, certified tradespersons and employers in your
community
What will you be doing
during the 2 week TTX program?
- Experiencing hands-on work and skill development activities
- Gaining information about career opportunities in the manufacturing,
construction, automotive, technical fields and more
- Visiting worksites, meeting and speaking with employers
- Gathering information about further education and training
- Participating in career planning assessments and developing
a plan to assist you in achieving your goals
What happens after
the 2-week TTX program?
- Add certification in Fall & Arrest and WHMIS to the other
skills on your resume
- Move toward your career goal with a clear plan of action
- Access community contact you've developed throughout your two
weeks in TTX

- Program will be located at various locations in the Niagara
Region
- Program runs for 2-weeks from 9:00am to 2:00pm daily
- Experienced instructors, tradespersons, and career counsellors
- Small class size for individual attention
